Recycled Content

Recycled Content logo

Generic symbol used to show recycled content; also sometimes used to indicate that the product can be recycled. Does not mean that the product has been certified.

In the US, the Federal Trade Commission gives the following guidance: A recycled content claim may be made only for materials that have been recovered or otherwise diverted from the solid waste stream, either during the manufacturing process (pre-consumer), or after consumer use (post-consumer).
