At the core of Degree of Green® are data sheets that detail the environmental, health and sustainability attributes of various products. A top rating of 4 goes to products that have:

• the least adverse effects on human health
• the highest level of environmental sustainability
• the least adverse effects on the environment

Each Degree of Green® report describes a product, its composition, advantages and raw materials sourcing, and offers comparative data.

Retailers who participate in the Degree of Green® program will be able to share the program's knowledge base with their consumers.
