Demeter Biodynamic® is a certification indicating that Biodynamic farming practices have been used.
In an effort to keep the farm, the farmer, the consumer, and the earth healthy, Biodynamic farmers strictly avoid all synthetic chemical pesticides, fertilizers, and transgenic contamination, stressing farm generated, living solutions to pest control and fertility instead, and setting aside a minimum of 10% of their total acreage for biodiversity. The entire farm, versus a particular crop, must be certified.
